 There is one go to flower that I can always count on to thrive, the beautiful petunia. The key is to dead head the flowers to encourage more growth. Dead heading is when the flower bloom is shriveling up, pick it off the plant so it can continue to grow and produce more blooms. My garden turned out to be quite small this year, due to long cold spring. I couldn't get much started until the beginning of June. My dill is over growing into my broccoli. I can't even give the dill away fast enough, looks like everyone will be getting dried dill for Christmas this year. My Sweet Corn is coming along nicely and as long a hail storm or wind doesn't take it down, I should have a bountiful harvest in a few months. Poor, poor tomatoes, they are struggling, but still manage to put out a few tomatoes. The need some more TLC!
I am hoping that by this time next year, when people drive up to our house they will see a fortress of Hollyhocks, with a tiny house peeking out behind it! I absolutely love these tall stunning flowers!

I like to stay in my garden whenever I need to relax and unwind. My garden is in my backyard and it has a beautiful view of the sunset and sunrise. Every day, I feel so blessed whenever the sun touches my skin. It somehow makes me feel like the sun is giving me energy and happiness. 2018 is a year full of ups and downs. You cannot define it, unlike 201 because 2018 feels very short period of time, but it was really a long one due to the things you have experienced. I hope that this year would be full of love, happiness and success in work. I do not want anything more aside from having a good and happy working environment.
